iPhone 15 beeps while charging

Ridding of a Beep:

There is an issue with the charging source. So, it is time for a new charger. Get one that is of Apple brand. If using a cable and charging block, make sure that both are of Apple brand.

Double rubbish. I have optimized charging enabled and have never had this problem.

There is something wrong with your particular phone.

If you’re on the locked screen, and you have setting to show the battery percentage, swipe on the screen from the top down. You will be able to see that the lightening bolt for charging never goes away.

to make the vibrate or beep stop, go into settings > sound and haptics > system haptics (you’ll want to hit the toggle so that it’s off). It will still flash to tell you that it’s charging, but the system haptics won’t vibrate anymore. You have to have your phone on silent as the beep still happens.

I’ve only gotten to 42% so I’m not yet sure if it stops doing that at some point. I’ve noticed there are times my phone hasn’t done the flash notification of charging at times, that includes on the same block and cord I use when it flashes.

It's the cable or charger. There is no feature that 'beeps' every minute or percentage of charging.

I agree 100%. My iPhone 15 pro also does this. It beeps as the percentage increases by one. Strange but it can’t just be your phone if lots of people are having the same “issue”… the connection/charge is not being interrupted. My phone is charging just fine.

Actually, when my phone was doing that, I pressed down the top of my screen and slid it down. The lightening bolt then stayed on the screen. The charging annoyance did not stop, however the lightening bolt in the battery image (now just below the top of the screen) never went away. Not even when it said charging and beeped.

A lightening bolt staying on the battery image means it’s still charging.

Does turning off charging optimization stop it?

A good start for you would be to read the 2 pages of replies in this thread.

That means charging is not continuous, it is being interrupted constantly. What are you using for a power source?

If you observe closely you will find that the beeps always occur when the charge level increases by one percentage point. It is not related to the charge being interrupted.

That is incorrect. My iPhone beeps once when I connect the charger. It never beeps again. Certainly not when the charge level increases by 1%.

My iPhone started doing this too while charging. I am utilizing the charging equipment that came with the phone. It was not always this way.

Not: “poor quality” or “off-brand” charging equipment.

Not: Something the phone “always does.” The normal experience I’ve had with all iPhones is one chime at the time iPhone is connected to charger.

Never continuous chiming.

Also: One chime when iPhone reaches 100% = normal.

Those stating this “chiming throughout the charging process is the new normal,” please provide a link to iPhone user manual where it states that this is so. Thank you!

I would tend to agree. What I failed to include in my post is that this “new chiming while charging problem,” is occurring on my iPhone 13Pro, not iPhone 15.

And yes, newer, and different, charger and equipment have used — with the same result.

I just got pro max 15 13 hours ago. Plugged it in with the cord that it came with, using an apple charging block, it beeps every few seconds. The lightning bolt is there, then it disappears with the beep and says “charging” over to the left. Then repeat. If I use a different cord with a different phone, no issues. I’ve changed the battery setting and nothing changes.

It most certainly does. Even original Apple equipment can develop faults.
