Should I remove Google LLC from MacBook? How?

When I started up my MacBook (iOS 13.5.2) this morning a new item announced itself, Google LLC, which doesn't have a Google themed icon. It installed itself in my login items to be allowed to work in the background. I have been able to turn it off but not remove it. See screenshot below. Should I be concerned? What's going on?

Remove the Google apps. Or don’t. Your decision.

Google apps have a reputation for consuming a whole lot of resources while doing who-knows-what, and you already seem to have Google apps installed, so I’d expect this is simply whatever other data Google is inclined to gather and process.

To have gotten this far (past Gatekeeper and XProtect on macOS), the app must be correctly signed, which provides some indication that it’s legitimate.

If you have concerns about this Google app and its apparently-busted icon, check with Google support.
