Can't physically connect my iphone 14plus to my Dell pc. I would like to connect my iphone 14plus to my Dell Inspiron PC USB port on the Tower. The charging wire that came with the iphone fits the iphone port but I can only use the other end with an adapter with a plug to put into my wall socket for charging. I purchased the USB -C to USB adapter at the Apple Store and it is not compatible with either my iphone or my PC USB port. What do I need to accomplish this? I'm not sure what kind of USB port is on the PC Tower. Looks like USB 2.0? I plan to connect via WiFi in the future but the instruction say the first connection has to be via UCB port. Thanks for any suggestions.

Lightning cable vs usb-c to usb-c cable. When an external devices says I need to connect my phone via a lightning cable, should my usb-c to usb-c cable do the job since it is more advanced?

if you mean you can charge and sync an iphone14 pro max using a cable with usb-c in one end and lightning in the other then yes.
