My Ipad only charges on certain angles

Hi my iPad somehow only can be charged on certain angles starting yesterday. The cable im using is the one i got from my purchase. I bought an off-brand standard usb-c to usb a connecter but it charged on certain angles also except it was worser since i had to charge it in more complicated angles to work. I tried changing the adapter for my new cable and worn out and see if it was the problem but it still didnt solve the problem. I’m still using the worn out cable thats slowly turning yellow that came from the iPad box because it charges better and faster than the newly bought one. Does anyone know whats the problem that caused it or any solutions?
