Warm air from bottom of new M3 iMac

I just got an M3 iMac (to replace an M1 iMac that I got when it released back in 2021). For the M1, I never noticed warm air coming out of the bottom (or never checked LOL) but I do notice it on the M3. Fan also seems a bit more noticeable. Is this normal because this iMac has the M3 chip? Thanks

Currently I have an M1 MB Air tethered to a CalDigit TS4 dock which then provides connections to my peripherals (three disks, 27” LG monitor, audio interface, and MIDI keyboard). I have read that the M4 Pro Mini gets noisy under heavy loads. I have no need for the extra power of the Pro but if the if the non-Pro Mini is going to be anything like that Intel Air, it would be extremely annoying. So to the M4 Mini owners, what have your experiences been with the fan?

New MacBook Air heating up with normal use New MacBook Air heating up with normal use. Is there an accessory that can be used to help alleviate heat build up in a MacBook Air? My MacBook seems to be heating up with just normal use. I just purchased this MacBook today. [Edited by Moderator]

MacBook Pro M4 very warm I recently purchased a new Pro M4. I use it on my lap while sitting on my sofa (partially disabled). I'm afraid that it is not getting enough cooling air as it gets quite warm. My previous MacBook did the same and the battery had to be replaced after only 3 years. The side air intakes are not being blocked, but the rear exhaust fan sometimes may be partially blocked by my legs. Does Apple suggest a cooling pad when using in this manner? I want to prevent over stress or damage to the new laptop.

All computers generate heat. Some of it is dissipated through case and some using fans. Sounds completely normal.

Also, when you first start up a Mac, it can stay pretty busy doing indexes and things, it might settle down after a while.
