I have an iPhone 12 Pro with a broken screen and need to erase the device (reset to factory settings). I have tried multiple times to erase the device on Find My iPhone, but it does not work. For some reason the final screen/button with the word "erase" does not activate the process. I can tell it is not working, because the phone's screen still has apps on it. Any thoughts??
It could be a network connection problem, maybe the iPhone isn't connected to the wi-fi/network.You can contact Apple Support to see what can be done in this case
Either Apple Support can do it for you or get the screen replaced to then reset the iPhone.

Phone needs to be connected to wifi or cellular data in order for it to erase.
Your next option is to get the screen fix so you can restore it.
wifi is connected. May have to find another way to reset.
Thanks for responding. The phone is connected to wifi still. data is on SOS. Not sure what to do from here. Don't want to pay to get the phone fixed. rather get a new one.
