how do i manage devices?

I am trying to download new music to my new phone but keep getting the message Device limit reached, but when i go to account settings there's nothing in there about removing old devices... HELP!!!

72 day wait to download music on new phone Bought a new iPhone through Apple and used the built in utility to transfer from my old iPhone. On my new phone now I cannot download music for 72 days (guessing I got my new phone 18 days ago) even though I haven't changed anything. What is this about? When the transfer from my old phone competed the software asked if I wanted to erase and prep the phone for sale/trade. I said yes. Would this not have logged it out of all services needed to ensure full use of my new phone? When I try to manage devices the option to delete my old phone is greyed out. I need to get some playlists downloaded. Is there any solution to this or is there something I am missing?
