iPhone calendar still continues skipping back to same date

There have been threads on this issue going back a while. No known workarounds or solutions that have worked for anyone. See <https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252731248?answerId=255557685022&page=2>

Essentially, the problem is that every time I open iCal on phone or iPad (not on Mac) it opens up to Sept 19, 2019. Sometimes it rebounds automatically to current date, mostly not. If not, I then have to hit “today” to get back to current date. Super annoying as previously reported and this has happened across IOS updates, different phones and iPads. This has not been happening on OSX just iOS. The date in the past is not the furthest date stored in calendar. Others reporting this in past had gone back to same day as well.

Is this still happening to others? Apple are you listening?
