4K Tv: Should HDR10+ and Dolby Vision both appear in video settings?

I’ve recently upgraded my TV and Apple TV to support 4K. As part of my process to diagnose a problem displaying HDR10+ content, I changed my HDMI extender. When I did, the “Use HDR10+” setting option in the Video and Audio settings disappeared and was replaced by a Dolby Vision option. Later, when I connected the Apple TV directly to the TV, the HDR10+ setting reappeared and Dolby Vision was gone.

Question: Assuming an ideal setup, should I see video options for both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision? Or is it one or the other? The tv says it’s compatible with both.

Thanks for your help!
