malware/spyware from steaming a video or images safari

I was wondering if it’s possible to be infected from videos or images that’s running malware/spyware scripts while browsing safari on an ios. I know that every apple application is sandboxed, but could it escape the virtual environment and compromise the iPhone integrity. I’m aware of the vulnerabilities that apple has addressed. what are the likelihood of this happening on an up to date phone?
