What's the update?

Why the Error? there is an error connecting to Apple's update servers..

Updating an iPhone:

  • Via Computer

Try updating via a computer. Use my User Tip: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip

  • Via Cellular:

If an iPhone 12 with 5G service, you can update via cellular. Use my User Tip: Use an iPhone 12 or later, that is using 5G, in order to update over Cellular - User Tip

  • Via Ethernet:

If you cannot use Wi-Fi, then use Ethernet. On the computer, you would connect it through Ethernet, going directly into your router. For a Mac (or PC) that does not have Ethernet, this would be the adapter to use: Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

You cannot pick and choose an iOS version. What you get is Settings > General > Software update > [All options are available here]
