Password locked

So every once in a while I’ll restart my MacBook so I can see if I still rmb the password and username. I’ll always write both of those things in my iPhones notes app just incase I forgot and can’t get it. Well i tried to try and restarted my mac and now I can’t get in. The username is correct and so is the password. I have no idea why I can’t get in but it just won’t let me. I’m wondering if I go to Apple will they charge me if I ask for a force log in. IF they even do such a thing. Please help me thank you.
