Imac 27 inch 2014 lagging

I have a problem with the Imac. Extremely slow.

I did a clean install Yosemite and updated to Catalina because Big Sur was completely unusable.I fixed the problem with split fusing drive and I have got much better results now.

But still lagging everything I tried to work with, opening Finder, using Safari etc. Like graphic always late.

I have 32GB of RAM memory, and disk is completely empty only OS is installed.

I read a lot of solutions, but nothing worked for me. Only issue I have is with the fan. So I installed Mac fan control and now is better. Also after diagnostic I have got the error for fan. I did SMC reset couple of time and PRAM too. Does anyone can help me.

Being that your Mac is older, I suspect you may have an issue with the hdd.

I recommend that you download and run the DriveDX diagnostic utility. Run the diagnostic on both the hdd and the ssd parts of the fusion drive. If DriveDX throws up any red flags, then that would indicate a failing drive and the likely cause of the Mac's lagging.

The easiest fix for a failing internal drive will be to buy and use an external drive as the startup device.

Another option would be to replace the failing internal drive with an ssd that could extend the useful life of the computer.
