Is Page thumbnails view in Apple Books no longer available?

Once upon some time ago, when reading a book (Apple book store purchased, no pdf) there was the option to browse through the pages of the book using a view containing a thumbnail of each page.

This "view" was accessible from the bottom of the page (any page) where now there is only the page number or the page number out of the total pages in the book.

The same view was also available on Mac and now I only see a button on the top left to show the Table of Content.

How can I browse the pages of the entire book using thumbnails?

If this option is no longer available, then how can I make a "visual" search within the book as I would if I had in my hands a real paper book?

Thanks

PS. this is true for Mac and iOS
