Arteck BlueTooth keyboard recognized by iPad, NOT by MacBook Air

The keyboard is between them. If I try to connect it to the iPad, it works fine.

I then tell the iPad to forget this device, so there's no possible interference there.

I then try to add it to the MBA. It is never found under "Nearby Devices", much less connects.

Other local devices, such as a BlueTooth Magic Trackpad, _are_ seen and connect fine to the MBA.

So this keyboard, which I specifically got to work with the MBA, and which worked fine with it several months ago, is now useless for its desired purpose.

Ideas?

Update: never mind, got it to work! Turns out although MOST Arteck keyboards try to pair automatically upon power-up, this model requires a special keypress (Function-C) to initiate pairing. Apparently the pairing broke at some point, and operator error prevented re-connection till I Read-The-Friendly-Manual.

I'll go stand in the corner now.
