file lost from documents and destok

while turning off documents and desktop in iCloud from Macbook after storage got full in iCloud. some of the MS Word and other files were lost. how to find these lost files. Please! I need help. your idea will be higly appreciated.

I was however not aware that they would also be deleted from my desktop on my computer where I had saved them. Recovering missing iCloud Drive Documents on Mac Dear Community, I need help recovering important files that have gone missing from my iCloud Drive. I was working on two coding projects that were saved in my Documents folder, which was synced with iCloud. After turning iCloud off and on again and restarting my Mac (due to performance issues), I noticed that the contents of my Documents folder had disappeared. Currently, I can only see about 30% of the files in iCloud Drive. I have already: Checked iCloud Drive > Recently Deleted on the web. Attempted recovery with third-party software (Disk Drill) by scanning the entire hard drive. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate or restore the missing files. These projects represent several days of work, and I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in recovering them. How to recover lost files from iCloud synchronization on Mac? iCloud has just remove very important files from my computer. For a day, I was basically unable to open and work on my project. iCloud had spent the entire day synchronizing from my computer to the cloud. During that time, no files were "present" on my disk. I had let my mac synchronize overnight, to come back the next day with most of the important files in my project having disappeared. This is unacceptable, and makes me want to throw my computer away and never touch an apple device again. If this project had an important deadline and/or I needed to present something, I guarantee this could have cost me that opportunity. Has this happened to anyone before?
