Device policy alert
I have a private, personal use only iphone and spontaneously started getting a Device Policy Alert. Not sure if I inadvertently activated something, but would like to get rid of it. Can anyone help?

Well, the message came from Gmail. Since they posted it, they might be able to tell you what to do to remove it.
So, probably best to check with Gmail Support to start the quest.

Edit to original question:
No, I am not trying to access anything related to an organization, at least not intentionally. I am a retired human, who only uses my phone for the regular stuff like messaging, email, web surfing, a couple of casual games that I have played for a long time. This message spontaneously started coming up on my phone a week ago.
Were you ever part of an organization previously? In the event your phone has a type of MDM on it, only the org can remove it.
Does the message appear inside a specific app(s) or just on the Home Screen (for example)? The font looks like Android/Google, not Apple.
Seems to only happen when I open Chrome and then somewhat randomly when I browse. No, this phone has never been involved in any organization. No work use ever (I retired in 2013, long before I ever had this phone)
Are you trying to access something organization related on it, such as an app? In any case, your best bet is to contact your org directly and ask them.
Do you use outlook for email?
No, I use the Mail app
Do you have an Outlook or other work email account on the phone, regardless of what app you use to access it?
Plus, I’ve had this phone for several years, and this spontaneously started a week ago.
Who is your email provider?
No, I have no work email accounts on this phone. I retired in 2013 and my work emails retired at that time as well!
i use the Mail app built into my iphone and my email addresses are all Gmail.
Did this question ever get answered ? I’m having the same issue … were you able to resolve ?
