will my annual subscription to the My Fitness Pal app be eligible for family sharing?

I invited a family member and they accepted to family share, but they still donmt have access to apple fitness i invited my husband to family share so he could use my fitness plus subscription. However, the subscription is asking him to trial it. Shouldn’t he already have access now?
