Will Apple host my domain name?

I am trying to move my domain name email from GoDaddy to Apple using the iCloud+ service. Will Apple accept the transfer of my domain to their DNS servers, or do I need to leave my domain name record at GoDaddy and update the MX record to point to Apple?
