New Macbook Pro M3, all language settings are English, some characters in my system are Chinese?

Upon using my new Macbook Pro M3, I noticed on facetime that some of descriptions of my camera source had chinese characters in them. I then looked into my settings and found the same thing.

I've setup my computer as English and have never had this problem before.

For context, under Language & Region Settings I only have English as a preferred language and have no other languages downloaded under Translation Languages.

Any ideas why this is happening? Super weird to me.
