Personal Hotspot doesn’t show up in settings

My personal hotspot on the control center doesn’t respond when I tap on it and it isn’t also showing up in the settings , I have reset the network and done all that has been recommended. I am unable to hotspot network to my Mac when needed .Help !

Hotspot works and then doesn't I recently upgraded to a MacBook Air. When I try to connect to my hotspot on my iPhone 13, it does quickly the first time I try during the day. Then when I'm done and close the computer and move on to the next thing and attempt to connect again, it connects to the hotspot but there is no internet. I have restarted the computer, the iPhone, disconnected and reconnected, but seems like I can only connect to the hotspot once throughout the day (and works fine) but then any additional time, it will not work. What is my resolution to the issue? My 2011 MacBook Pro connects consistently with no problem. My cruddy windows computer connects with no problems. I desperately need a solution. Most of the other threads I've found on this just say restart your computer or MacBook....Posting from my wife's computer.... My MacBook Air is running on maco2 Monterey version 12.6.9.

MacBook disconnects from iPhone hotspot when closed I have mobile hotspot on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I connect it to my MacBook. when I close my MacBook it always the wifi stops working. and I have to connect it again. doing this every time its annoying. is there a way so the MacBook never disconects from the mobile hotspot?

Your line would need to be provisioned by your phone carrier in order to use hotspot.
