Apple numbers

Hello everyone.

i am trying to make a calendar to keep track on the days i worked. What formula i need to use to count days but not as numbers. But as a text.

let’s say there is a cell with a text Present at work. I need to count how many cells that contains the same text in different tables.

thank you in advance and i hope you understood my question. My English is not that good.

In the summary table, in cell B2, type = and select COUNTIFS from the functions selector (visible if Format is selected in the toolbar), and click on Insert Function. You'll get that:

test-values is already highlighted. Click-drag across letters A to H at the top of Week 1's table, which will give you that:

You'll see the name of your table instead of Table 1 if you renamed it, and perhaps A:H will be replaced by the headers text.

Then click on condition and on Present at work in the summary, which will give you that:

Then type a + at the end of the formula and repeat for the other tables, so you'll end up with the sum of 5 COUNTIFS.

Once it's done for the first formula, copy it down to the other lines.

In future posts give a better title so we know from the list what it is about. We know it is about Apple Numbers. Here it could have been for example "How to count texts in a table?"
