I add a song to my library and no matter how many times i reload it just dose not show up

It is possible the track isn't compatible. iTunes won't issue a warning, it will just silently fail to add the item. You can try placing a copy in the Automatically Add to iTunes folder inside your media folder. If the item is moved into a Not Added folder instead of being absorbed into the library then you'll know for sure that iTunes is rejecting that file.
