How do I see the weather for multiple cities in the same widget? (have just upgraded to Sonoma)

I'm setting up a new mbp m3 and i can't figure out how to adjust the default weather widget so I can see multiple cities. This was possible on my old mbp, which I had for a long time (it's a mid 2015 model, still running on High Sierra), but seemingly not on my new one running on Sonoma.

I have close friends/family in various locations and it's nice to be able to quickly glance at the weather for where they're based. I live in London but if I see it's sunny in New York City, for example, i'll think about friend X going about their day in the sun in Bed-Stuy. I've been fiddling about with it for a while but can't get it to display how I want it to.

See image below for an example of the old UI, in High Sierra. I want something like this -- ideally it should include the time as well as the old one does (that saves a small amount of cognitive load :) )
