I bought a new printer, Oki C824dn. I'm working on ventura 13.6.1 and want to print from indesign 2024. In the printing menu I can't uncheck the "Print as bitmap" setting.
Therefore, I can only print fonts and images in bitmap which is very useless for a design app.
Printing from Word works fine.
Does anyone know a solution?
Is the problem with apple, adobe or the printer?
Or all of the above?
Hi. We have the same kind of issue at work with a brand new OKI pro9431 and Apple macs on Ventura. Printing on Indesign, illustrator and Photoshop 24 is very slow. Acrobat is fine. By slow I mean the same file will print in 30” on a Ricoh and 3’ on the OKI. We bought the OKI to replace the defunct Xerox Phaser proofing printer.
OKI says the issue is with our applications manufacturer. I did not come across this problem when researching the purchase. I finally found a thread on an Adobe community discussion yesterday. It is a big investment for us and we are worried. Please post back if you have more news.
