My son (15years) broke his iPhone . He is trying to log into other spare iPhone we have, but verification code is being sent to iPhone he cant access?
Can he get verification code sent to the new iPhone or is there any other way to get verification code. hw is also on family sharing with me if it helps?
He has his Apple id and password

Have you remove the SIM card from his broken iPhone and insert in his spare iPhone?
Does he use the same phone number on the spare iPhone?
If not, he need to:
Sign in to your Apple ID account page and edit / update your Apple ID details -> https://appleid.apple.com
But I cant get past this point to set up the phone if I go back a step this is the screen
In your starting post you talked about receiving the verification code on the spare iPhone.
Your last post is about something else, namely transferring apps from the defective iPhone to the spare iPhone.

Yes unfortunately the verification code is being sent to the iPhone he can’t access. Setting up new iPhonr he logged in under his Apple ID and for verification the verification code is going to the iPhone he can’t access. I wonder how we can get code to go to his new ( spare) phone or my iPhone
