Watch won’t do anything but show apple logo

Charger quit working so I bought a new one. By the time it arrived my watch was 100% dead. When I put it on the charger it lit up with my normal watch face photo and the circle to indicate it was charging. After several hours I took it off and now I just get the apple logo. It won’t do anything, even the “force shutdown protocol “

Apple Watch fades away into red while charging I had just put my Apple Watch back to charge after not using it for a few months and once I connected it the apple logo appeared for a bit but then it just faded away into red and it’s been doing this on a loop endlessly. Is there a fix to this?
