Why does my CellularData say “travel”?

I have Canada/U.S. cellular plan. How do I turn on my data? When I go to cellular data I see my cell phone number with the word “travel”.

also, my old cellular number still appears. How do I delete it?

I was in India recently where I got an E-SIM with an India local carrier. On the iphone, I clicked on Settings > Mobile Service > Set the default Data and Voice line to the India E-SIM number. From this point forward, anyone would expect all calls to be routed through the default line, i.e the India SIM. However this is not the case. Apple have this "Last Used" feature which routes the call through the last used line instead of the default line. We as a consumers are expected to set which line to use for each contact. How does this make any logical sense? Logically, when I search for a contact who lives in India and click on their India number, the call should be routed through the default line. No one is going to search for a contact, set the line to be used and then dial the number. They are just going to dial the number. On the other hand, if I memorise the number, open the Phone app and dial the number manually then it uses the default line. Whether you dial from the contacts app or the phone app, it should use the default line. Please look into changing the "Last Used" feature as a lot of consumers will be end up facing high roaming bills.

Roaming switch missing on iPhone 15 Pro Max in Mexico We are traveling in Mexico and we both have a iPhone 15 Pro Max. My husband is able to turn on his roaming feature. I on the other hand am not able to turn on that feature. I’m able to hook up through his phone as a using his hotspot but The option for me to hook up is not available. I called AT&T or carrier and we do have ability or service to Rome for free and Mexico City. The help person at AT&T suggested that I re-reboot my phone, which kind of scares me because I don’t wanna lose anything and you know you have to go to a setting. That’s what you use for forgetting a new iPhone. I’m not sure if this is my carriers problem or my iPhone I sure would love some guidance and reassurance that rebooting my iPhone to its original settings. This is most likely due to you being on a travel rate through your cellar company. This means you are outside the area eligible for your local rate so you are currently paying more. I would recommend contacting your cell company.

Also you said it was US/Canada. If you are in Canada that is probably why. Again, call your cellular company.
