What version of iTunes for Windows are you running? Managing an iPhone 15 from a PC requires "Windows 10 or later using iTunes 12.12.10 or later (free download from itunes.com/download)".

Maybe you just need to upgrade from iTunes 12.10.10 to iTunes 12.12.10?!?

Again, this phenomena started with the new iPhone 15;
Before, when I connected my phone to my laptop, a window appeared asking if I wanted to allow the pc to see my photos. This no longer happens;
I tried to use iTunes for this exercise, there is no device icon beside the Music drop-down either
it's very strange usually when you get things like it's because either there's corrupt file in Windows like a DLL or best to reset the iPhone. problem is to format Windows is demanding, did you try to ask to the Windows Support
