Update to iOS 17.1.1 on iPhone XR no cellular data connection

I had this problem on my 14 Pro Max and I just restarted my phone and it fixed the problem. Turn it off and wait a while then turn it back on. Hope this helps!

Well, you can’t downgrade, and waiting won’t fix this carrier problem. Only calling your carrier can fix it.

If your device is not seeing 4G or 3G networks, that is a configuration issue with your SIM or in your cellular carrier's database.

In either case, only they can resolve it.

I have the same problem. My cellular service seems almost turned off or going in and out to NO Service constantly . When I return from the holidays I’ll have to go to the Genius Bar to see if they can figure it out. So annoying!! All was fine until the update

I have the same issue on XR. Cellular connectivity is only in EDGE mode - no 4G or 3G. Does this version need any SIM upgrade?
