I updated to 17.1.1 on my iPhone, now I don't have an option to delete the list

What happens if you......
Tap Recents
Swipe left on a recent call so the "trash" can appears
Tap Clear at the upper right of the screen
Tap Clear All Recents

Thanks - I had tried tapping Recent, Edit, Select, and when I did, under Select it gave me two options to add to something, or set up a contact, but no option to Clear. Now, after these suggestions, I tried it and it WORKED! I don't think I did anything different, but the Clear option came up. Anyway, all is good now. Thanks
