With the new update how do I put my phone on silence?
since the new update I do not know how to silence my watch and hit the button to find my phone.

It sounds as if you're asking how to access the Control Center, which you used to access by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Now, swiping up brings up the Smart Stack.
To access the Control Center, press the side button. It's the oval button next to the Digital Crown. It's almost flush with the bezel. Just be sure not to press and hold it.
