forgot passcode from iphone 12mini (iOS14)

new passcode which i had just changed last night. now its at security lockout for another 4 hour and 39mins.

and my iphone 12mini it doesnt give me the option to click on the bottom right ``forgot passcode``

mine says erase iphone (harsh!!)

at least all my notes form my calendar and phone contacts and ALL saved in the icloud but my 500 photos from january 2023 to now are not in the icloud (ran out of storage maybe) ?

anyways...

someone had suggested to download the itunes and it should override the step that the hardware asks for my phone to unlocked.

Hello,

If you were on iOS 17 you would have 72 hours to try the old passcode. See this:

If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support

Otherwise, try waiting the 4 hours and try both the old and the new passcode.

If it still doesn't work, this is your only option:

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled

i was wondering in the meantime..... how i can save the photos (just in case).

can i download itunes on my laptop and over ride this crazy passcode locked

issue??
