icloud files not showing on Macbook

I've updated my macOS a few days ago, and just noticed that the files that were automatically uploaded on icloud disappeared from my local folders. Weirdly, I could still open some of the files from "recently used" in a software that I've been using. So I went to icloud.com and saw the files are still there, they're just not showing up on my Macbook. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Folders in icloud drive got completely empty I got a new macbook pro yesterday and after I transferred data from my old macbook air through the migration app, all my files inside the folders in icloud drive went missing. I don’t see the files on iphone or ipad icloud drive. My folders are empty. Pdf docs vanished. Is there a way to bring them back or should I use google drive and nor trust icloud anymore?

iCloud files not showing up in Finder I have a lot of files stored on my iCloud Drive. I have recently noticed that when I navigate to some folders through the Finder the files within are not visible. If I login to iCloud via Safari and navigate to the same folder the files are actually still there. This seems to happen with older files that I have not used for some time but also appears to a bit random. Some older files are visible and some are not so it doesn't seem to be consistent in terms of age of the files. I have tried turning off and on the 'Sync Desktop & Document Folder' in Finder Settings but that hasn't fixed the issue. I have a 2018 MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.3.2 How can I re-sync everything without losing any files?

saved files are not showing up in icloud document folder, MacBook Air 13", Sonoma 14.0 Macbook Air M2, 13", Recently updated to Sonoma 14.0, now, when I download any files, PDF, or otherwise, into the iCloud documents folder, so it can be shared across devices, the recently downloaded file, does not show up in the folder, if I log into the same iCloud documents folder from another device, it's right there. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the iCloud, restarting the computer, and clearing all of the cache from Google Chrome/. This happens across all browsers, and seems to only affect this device with the new updated OS. Any ideas?
