iOS 17.1.1 Issues on iPhone

I am having issues in update the phone is heating a lot as well as i am not able to get voice from receivee everything is perfect still and when i hve been to their store they re chrgung me money where as their is no problem in receiver their is some software problem this happnes with me when first time i updated to ios 17 also this people are doing it knowingly i feel to earn some bucks i dont know from last one year this sort of issues are happening continue

As soon as I did the upgrade, I have sending issues using the native iPhone client on any Yahoo! account. Receiving email is not an issue, but I have to send email via the Yahoo! App. Saying the sending SMTP is wrong. Removed all accounts and reinstalled, same issue. Any others?

When my alert came up about iOS 17.1 thankfully I do not do automatic updates and having read that things were going wrong I chose to hold off.

sadly my partner who relies on his mobile for business did have automatic updates and thanks to Apples Update he has lost all functionality on his mobile & iPad - to say he’s livid is an understatement 😡

Apple needs to address this as we have tried everything - he cannot do anything. I suggest that we turn up at their stores and lobby them to sort them as contacting Apple by phone or internet is getting us nowhere - let them fob us off that way !

IOS 17.1.1 (at 10GB! Just WHY?) has DESTROYED my (old) iPhone 11 with 64GB. Haven’t found a single app that DOESN’T malfunction since. Unless I can uninstall, I’ll have to buy a new phone.

After the update my phone became a tiny tablet. Lost all cellular connectivity. Restored by corporate IT. Additionally when using phone screen goes into a milky grey color, it’s terrible. Can this be corrected?

What you say is theory but what we all face is practical. There are no such underlying issues coz we do not and can not program a iPhone we use for day to day ease as a communication tool and info processor. Each update does come with its own unique issues that even the realize team did not realize coz they do not have all test scenario at hand. Yes , it’s a minority but that also goes to thousands. Their official support centers with trained tech staff are also fumbled of what to do and just ask to reset, erase or what have you. sometimes magically errors vanish as well co zits now in the log of a complaint.

WTH is going on with this update?! The sound on my phone, like everyone else’s, is messed up, my contacts reverted back to the old contact info, my notifications and alarms sound aren’t working. This all started after the update and it’s frustrating because people keep saying they called or someone sends a text and I don’t know about it until hours later cuz I can’t freaking hear anything! My phone doesn’t even vibrate anymore!

I had a similar issue. I ended up finding out that there was a “terms and conditions” thing that I hadn’t agreed to in settings. The “findmy” and iCloud sections were disabled until I clicked “agree” on the new terms and conditions.

Literally had no function of my phone this morning… It has gotten better but it's not great. I've turned my phone on and off several times and the function seems to get better each time. This last update was trash Apple!

I found it out of frustration and clicking around. I restarted my phone like google said to, and it didn’t work. Then I noticed at the top in my settings>Apple ID, it said something about terms and conditions so I clicked it and it asked me to agree to the T&C. I had never agreed to the T&C’s because the update had downloaded at night while I was asleep and then I just went about my day at work, never agreeing to the T&C. Once I agreed to the T&C then I was able to click on iCloud and Findmy like normal.

Not happy about the update. Phone is running slow glitching and FaceTime does not work even if I’m on Wi-Fi it does not work at all. It does not connect. The update needs to be looked at again not very happy.

Yeah -- keyboard clicks are super loud and super slow. I type faster than the keyboard responds. I've also had problems with the caps key reverting before I could type the letter. I had to click it twice to make it work. Also, if I replace a word or phrase by selecting and cutting, the editing now puts me smack against the last word instead of leaving a space. So I type the replacement and then have to go back and put a space before the replacement word or phrase. So annoying.

They replaced the alert sound I had for messages from my doctor/clinic with something I can barely hear. There is nothing I can do to change it because it's not on the list of sounds.

And I made the mistake of trying out a new ringtone and then discovered that they'd deleted my old one so I couldn't go back to it.

Some settings were also changed without my knowledge, but they try that every time they fiddle with the OS.

I had the same thing happen with the alert sound I use for messages from my doctor/clinic. It was the same as "reminder" alerts, but now it's different -- so quiet I can hardly hear it -- and there's no way to change it.

Since the update my phone has been lagging and so slow to search anything on the web and my volume isn’t working properly- never had this issue and this is a new phone. I can barely get anything to load when I want it to.

Mine too the in call volume is incredibly low. Notifications and calls are incredibly quiet

apply play in the car is unusable

Thete was absolutely nothing wrong with my phone prior to this update now using my phone as a phone is almost impossible

this is a joke and Apple needs to address urgently
