iOS 17.1.1 Issues on iPhone

Well, at least I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's angry about the latest update. Playing music on my iPad is now all screwed up. In order for me to get it to play music, I have to turn off the iPad which means it disconnects from the bluetooth speaker, turn it back on and then reconnect the speaker. Then, I've lost the shuffle feature and have to tap shuffle to start it. If I then stop the music and do something else, like email or Facebook, I have to go through the whole process (shutting down the iPad, etc.) all over again if I want to play music. So frustrating and annoying! Apple people you need to get on these problems IMMEDIATELY. These bugs are really alienating your customers. Your programmers either need retraining or the loss of their jobs.

After I updated to 17.1.1 on my iPhone SE8 on Thursday evening (11/23/2023 Thanksgiving), I lost my screensaver photo and could not receive or send any calls! Also when someone called me, my phone fid not ring and flipped over to VM. But I never saw that I had any VMs. After powering down and rebooting, 36 texts bombed my phone consecutively, chiming non-stop! And 4 VMs showed up! Very odd! I have never had any negative events or interruptions from updating my iPhones for years! Anyone else had problems?

My iMessage and FaceTime are both on waiting for activation. I think some texts to me are being delayed as well as I got one at midnight from someone who would never text that late. Def the worst upgrade ever

I’ve had kind of the opposite problem, the notification sounds that previously was off now is extremely loud and I’m having trouble sleeping, I’ve tried to turn the sound completely off or change the sound to nothing but it’s of no use.

can you guys please help me get rid of the notification sound.

Same as everyone on this thread, I am having issued that I have NEVER experienced post updating my iPhone 13 Pro to 17.1.1

Internet speed jumps up/down, all other devices at home are not experiencing this issue

Apps (telegram, amazon, and other widely used) take 10-30 sec to load each screen. All of these apps updated to latest version

Location often does not work, even in Apple’s own weather widget

Above is just the most annoying issues, there other concerns.

Phone productivity is 80% down.

not helpful at all!! They said they can do whatever they want it is their program!! None of my alerts are loud and they have changed all my tones and cant change them back!! My security cameras are so low by the time I hear or see it, i will be robbed!!!!!

My iphone 13 pro after updating from ios 16 to ios 17 have major issue. My iphone mobile network cannot function properly anymore. Whats the point of updating to ios 17 when you cannot even make a basic phone call to function properly.

its like updating you car suddenly your seatbelt not working.

authorise iphone service centre suggest a faulty hardware may be the cause. This is not a good solution as it happens after the update.

Hope Apple take this issue seriously and provide with the fix ASAP

I have an XR and my phone was sluggish and a few apps would crash as soon as I opened them so I decided to update my phone. Worst thing I could have done. My audio dropped by at least 50% still a little sluggish and slow not to mention keyboard issues with the autofill as I tap the word to put it in it won’t even accept it. Worst update ever. Needs major audio fixes

Apple added a feature that allows anyone with this feature on their iPhone to place their phone near yours or YOUR CHILD’S phone and automatically get their contact information. Brilliant huh? I had no idea until a friend sent me this. It’s very easy to disable.

First my iMessages and FaceTime is continuously into Waiting for Activation for the same phone number that worked very well before this update to 17.1.1 iOSX on iPhone 12 Pro Max . Today I realise my notifications too are not working for 3 rd party apps which have same settings for alerts like before. Apple Support via call has been of no much help although tried every thing possible and can’t come into this updated device remotely like before. although my in- update iPhone X which is stuck at 16.7 max update can do everything well I had to get them come in remotely on it and open the cam to show the iPhone 12 Pro Max issues. I have had more than 60 updates and this one is the worst. Am afraid Apple might want to out date or slow down earlier models as usual but with Covid and not much improvement in hardware or features it won’t be fair. Atleast don’t force a ioSX update with a red dot mandatory alert on settings icon and once we agree make our daily dependencies ****.

I am finding with the newest update that my stickers and Memoji are now in an awkward place. Every time I want to use them I have to go into the plus sign and change to them. The Memoji is a plus sign then a tap on more to get to it. Not sure who thought this was a good idea. Will we see this changed back son the next update? VERY CUMBERSOME

My phone automatically updated to 17.1.1 while I was sleeping…the night before I set my alarm to 650-655-7am as usual…I woke up at 745 and realized my alarm never turned on…Had to rush the kids to school which of course they were late…but while doing that I made an alarm at 803 to test it…It never rang…So I did it at 804 and it rang but as a different alarm and was low in volume…Then I went into alarm settings and “guess what?” it all of sudden had the original alarm sound instead of the one I heard…Something is up Apple, please review this update

I have been getting lagging or freezing in iOS 17.1.1 since I moved to 17. This morning, everything was fine, and now all the pages that I have my apps housed are gone. This is very unproductive and inefficient.

I don't use my phone that way but I do text and I can no longer use my Memoji in my text messages. Or has that been hidden so well that I haven't been able to find it? It would be nice if Apple would provide something to its users other than an update is required, like what will be added or deleted? The 'continue' doesn't cut it. Some of us elderly people need a little help with these changes.

AND it deleted ALL OF MY VOICEMAILS and completely screwed up all of my calendars.

This was an irresponsible roll out of a buggy IOS done on a LONG WEEKEND when no one could complain about it except to an inanimate piece of software.

SO APPLE.

For the adults in the room let me just say: FAIL. Grow up.
