iOS 17.1.1 Issues on iPhone

The latest update is a nightmare - Apple need to do a fix urgently!

All of my stickers and Memojis disappeared and my daughter is fuming at uni - she did the release last night and her Apple Pay now won’t work!!

Mine literally just finished. It's awful. My vm "greeting" is a British woman , everything is black, ie the safari search

bar, as is a lot of

stuff, every search yields a full screen with a private browsing option. It goes on and on 😡

Having tons of issues after the 17.1.1 update.

touch screen is really laggy, apps close down without warning, can't seem to force a restart even.

Hoping for a fix as the phone is not useable at this point

Volume isn’t an issue but 98% of my apps have been deleted or are not visible. Search is not working at all. Messages are all out of order (messages from a year ago are #6 in the que but people I was texting yesterday the thread is gone).

Since the 17.1.1 update my phone is lagging, apps won’t load or they just close for no reason. Obviously, SravanKrA, it was a miss with this update otherwise there wouldn’t be so many people complaining!

With so many issues with 17.1.1 updates, let me point out one more! Got notification for Apple Watch update. When trying to update, the message is ‘ couldn’t connect to Apple Watch-Make sure your Apple Watch is nearby, powered on, and not in Airplane mode’ !!!

Yes i started Facing issues with my iphone 12 pro ..volume control. I cannot reduce or increase the volume of any media file on whatsapp or other social media platforms like Fb. Only gallery saved video files show volume control.

Ring volume at 50% also is barely audible and at 60% behaves as if full.

You people have totally lost it!!!!! This update is so dang screwed up!!!!! What the heck did you do!!!!!! Everything is wrong & Don't you DARE SAY, 'you must have been experiencing problems before the update & not noticed'. I HATE APPLE PHONES and WILL NEVER NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER ONE!!!! The more you people think you improve it....the more screwed up it gets. This phone is nothing more than a useless pile of manure!!!!! Piece of **** phone!!

Similar issues since upgrade to iOS 17. I have changed nothing on my settings but can’t activate iMessage or FaceTime on my phone- apple suggest it’s a carrier issue but my iPad is also with the same carrier and is fine! I don’t carry my iPad round all the time me so I’m missing important messages. Also having issues with messenger notifications, and like others I also hate how contacts look now.

iPhone 13 Pro, Apple Watch 3 and iOS 17.1.1🤮. My Bluetooth connections are gone! Can’t connect to car Bluetooth, Apple Watch Bluetooth, NOTHING! Apple Watch loses battery in an hour and shuts down. WiFi connects, but at a slower speed. Rebooting doesn’t help. Apple Watch on Airplane Mode stops the battery draining. This is the most ***-backwards update EVER!

The update has seriously screwed up my phone which worked perfectly fine prior to installing it. Phone numbers have disappeared from my contacts, photos that had been set for contacts are gone, so when I receive a call only a phone number & name appears on the screen. A picture of the contact used to fill the screen. I can't answer phone handsfree in my car anymore, and somehow it dialed a contact from a locked screen and left a voicemail while I was walking around a store. I have facial recognition and a passcode set up, so that's pretty frightening! The keyboard is entirely screwed up. It either won't type the letter I press, adds random extra letters or just puts in a random word. Predictive is shut off. Thankfully I have auto updates shut off on my Mac Book Pro... God only knows what it would do on that!

My iphone 13 updated after our family celebrated early Thanksgiving. While preparing dinner prior to the update, I checked a recipe that was saved in my Notes since about 2015. It was there while I was cooking and there after dinner when a guest wanted the recipe. After the update, I realized while looking for a different note that not only was the note I was searching for gone, but so was the note with the recipe in it that I had just used the day before the update happened. Have since discovered that approximately 50 of my notes have disappeared! If I search for them by a keyword, the title and date of the note may (or may not) show up, but when I open the note, there's nothing there. They are not in iCloud either. I'm deeply upset because I had a lot of important info there that I kept for years. When I got out my old iPhone to see if my "lost" notes were still on it, I found after waiting for it to power up that they were....for about five minutes. I opened the one with the recipe and took a screen shot of it, and then noticed that it quickly DISAPPEARED, along with all the other missing ones from my current iPhone 13! What the ****????? I have searched online and tried every which way I have found to figure out what happened (I am extremely cautious and do not accidentally delete anything, especially not 50 notes!), and nothing has worked. Super stressed and wishing I had NEVER UPDATED to this trash Apple threw at us.

FaceTime doesn’t ring since the last update. I’m missing FaceTime calls. The loud volume when typing happened for me two updates ago. I just thought it’s my phone giving out. Fortunately, I read this before installing 17.1.1. Could’ve been worse.

MinnieTheCat I just checked that and yes it was on! I just turned it off and will test it out in the car tomorrow!! Thank you so very much for that tip! I’d really hate to have to buy a new system since I just paid this one off….

Since the update one of my alarms no longer plays music but a bird song.

My phone has also locked up twice saying ‘iPhone is unavailable’ try again in a minute whilst playing music. I thought as it is winter maybe it’s cold but both times I was playing a music app.

My wallpaper has now disappeared on my lock screen even though it is still on the settings pages as the wallpaper.

I'm not sure what inconvenience will appear next. But we need a fix!
