iOS 17.1.1 Issues on iPhone

A few minutes after I got the new update IOS 17.1.1, I started charging my IPhone 13 Pro Max because it didn’t have a lot of battery and I started to smell something strange. I was in my bedroom with the lights off and I started seeing smoke coming from my IPhone charging port at the bottom of my phone. Not too sure If it had to do with the new update, but I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Thankfully I was awake, could have become a fire.

Mine too. The sound quality is horrible and the background white noise feature no longer works. My phone worked without issue prior to the update and now it is nothing but a source of frustration. Apple Fix This!

No way Jose! Apple replaced Blackberry as the world's business phone. Let teenagers update their sounds but you can't force adults to accept unwanted changes. Reverse these sounds back to the originals before you lose the business market.

I can’t work at my station it screwed up my connection to my printer. All my contacts and their photos I can’t fix back to the way they were. I can’t find their photos I wouldn’t know what year I had originally set them. Why did this update take my photos and changed to initials ??? I like to see who I’m talking to which clients or tenants. Ring & Wyze security cams ruined, sound messed up with my phone! Everything I had set perfectly is now a mess! I Hate it so much considering other phones so I can have my business consistency back, updates shouldn’t mess with my business

apple has been going Downhill for some time now

Anyone else notice that with this update the ability to see the lyrics have been removed from each song in iTunes?

I pay $10.99 a month for this app to listen and learn new song lyrics. Do I get a discount for the removal of iTunes features that I have come to enjoy and count on being there?

Apple would you put the printed/viewable lyrics back please?

I updated my iPhone 14 to 17.1.1 and the phone is completely glitchy now. Many apps where you need the keyboard and the keyboard does not display to allow the user to type or search. The call screens are messed up as well. Overall, worst update experience ever and I'm now considering switching to a Google phone. Apple needs to fix this immediately! So angry.

My camera stopped working correctly, and the setting for the camera is just gone. Like I can’t allow access for any of the my apps that use the camera, because with i go into the privacy settings, theirs is no option for that at all. Anywhere in the settings. And overall my phone has just been bugging after this update. Tryna figure out how to downgrade

Is anyone else having getting their Apple Music to play through their vehicle? Mine will play a song here and there then stop since the iOS 17 update both in IPod mode and Bluetooth mode. Then in IPod mode it started playing like the first 20 seconds of songs then skipping to the next it’s annoying… no issue prior to update

I hate the way my Contact list has been changed!! When I go to call someone, the screen is so large I can’t see their whole name, and I have to scroll down to find the phone number !!! Before, it was all there in front of me.

Also, when my phone alarm goes off it has a different ring, so I guess now they e changed all of the ringtones ?? I’m really upset about this !!

Mine did the same thing. No calls in, no calls out, no texts. I spent an hour with an Apple rep (on my computer because my phone was worthless) and then another hour with T-Mobile before the problem was fixed. Apparently the update booted my eSim card so T-Mobile helped me add one so my phone would work. I'm not happy about having to do all that because of an update.

The new Siri functionality works, however, so many other things are broken. I can no longer set an alarm for 45 minutes, so when I’ve got blood from a patient all over my hand, I can’t set myself a notification anymore notifications from my iPhone iPad and Apple Watch no longer sync with each other, so even if I set a timer on my iPhone my Apple Watch doesn’t go off notifications in general are incredibly flaky. I’ve received 12 text messages today I only got notification about two of them. I have restarted the phone and reset the notification over and over again however, the volume keeps getting set somehow to nothing even when my iPhone is on my desk and absolutely nothing is touching it , I can’t believe I don’t have the option to roll back to the last iOS 16 delivery. I feel like my very expensive apple products have been turned into paperweights.

After last update 17.1.1 I am unable to use my phone as I did prior to update. I’m 80 years old and was able to use my iPhone well but after last update I cannot get anything to work as it was. You need to reverse the last update.

Every day, I am finding new issues with 17.1.1. Today, I was sending a text message on my iPhone. The message was a bit long (more than 1 screen worth) and I could not move the cursor back up towards the beginning of the message to make a spelling correction. My iPhone is so glitchy right now, I want to throw it away and buy a Google phone.

My wife’s phone was updated with 17.1.1, and now has many problems. Apps that were working fine no longer work, the App Store doesn’t recognize her face or her unlock code, so no downloading apps or app updates. This is a terrible update. Need a fix immediately!

I'd stay on that for a while until all of the bugs are resolved, especially the battery drainage ones.
