iOS 17.1.1 Issues on iPhone

My phones volume is ALL MESSED UP. Connected to Bluetooth in my car? can hardly hear, but all volumes are maxed.

connect to my AirPods? Music is fine, but all notifications of any kind are SO GD LOUD I can’t wear them.

volume is low, but 50% of the day my keyboard clicks were so loud I had to silence my phone. I didn’t even know that the clicks could be that loud! It was insane!

all my ringtones and alert sounds are changed/different - not a fan.

anyone else experiencing any of these issues?

I had NO issues with my iphone sounds prior to the iOS 17.1.1 update. The upgrade DID "alter the fundamental functionality of the device...there were [NO] underlying issues before this update."

Unfortunately, your response does not address the fact that my alert and notification tones are silent. The haptics work.

I figured it out. I was auto connected to a bluetooth speaker that was not being used. I turned the option on that speaker to "Not Connected." That solved the problem.

However, I had been connected to that speaker when it was not in use prior to this last upgrade and I had not experienced this issue.

After the mess created by 17.1.1, I turned off automatic updates on both phone and ipad. My phone is not plugged into power overnight, but my ipad is. This morning, the sound I’ve used for years for my timer had been reset to default on my ipad. I had to restart my ipad yesterday after it froze on a regularly used website, but that’s never changed settings in the past. Is this the new “normal” or is Apple accessing devices and making changes even if you’ve disabled auto updates?

I’m having a similar problem but with apps, I currently updated to iOS 17.1.2 a couple days ago and I was having problems with the Discord App so I deleted it and re-downloaded the Discord App and apparently I keep getting this loading screen that keeps buffering and I’ve never had this problem at all with apps I think it must be iOS 17 affecting things I’ve done almost every sort of step. I can fix the problem, but nothing is really working because I’ve never had this problem before I really hope that they release another version that is more updated and more stable and that addresses and fixes a lot of these problems because when I uninstall an app, I should be able to reinstall it with no problems whatsoever but that’s not the case I definitely think the new iOS 17 has lots of bugs and that’s affecting things like the app and the loading screen is anybody else having problems with apps not working or loading

My iphone 12 worked perfectly before the upgrade, no problems. Now I have issues w/ slow connectivity or sometimes none at all, dropped phone calls, inability to pair items, or they disconnect on their own. I can see if I had one issue, that it may not be 17.1.1's fault, but the fact that there are several that all started right after the upgrade is telling. I have tried all recommended fixes for the above issues to no avail.

I am having constant issues with this update. My WiFi needs toggled on and off to solve connectivity issues. I never had to do this before.

app permissions are broken. Google maps, Apple Maps, Apple News, etc all have trouble saving my permissions for location access to always. Widgets between my phone and watch break due to permission issues.

v17 has drastically reduced the functionality of my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

This update is the worst for all my music listening needs. In all my cars now the music is so low that I almost have to max out the cars volumes and it sounds distorted, prior I had amazing sound and having a lot of music content on my phone THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. My music in my cars are extremely important and I’m not a happy person. I am almost ready to leave apple for this reason, never thought I would say that being a loyal apple customer with many products, huge huge let down and ****** off as well

Not being able to set a song as an alarm has been an issue since October 2023. It’s pathetic that a gazillion dollar company cannot make a simple function like simply assigning a purchased song to an alarm. I literally think my krazer from the 90s could do that. I’ve called four times about that issue and they keep telling me it’s a known issue, but they keep not fixing it.

I am having the same problem and AppleCare says that it’s because I have already sent the text that I can’t edit. That is not the case and I keep stressing that this is a new text and it is impossible to move the cursor to a specific location to edit the text before it is sent. The response I keep getting is that I am trying to edit a text that has already been sent and that is not the case. Extremely frustrating. Has anyone discovered a fix for this either on their own or through AppleCare?

Ios 17.1 destroyed my iPhone 12 max pro. My phone froze up and the only thing that happens is the apple symbol flashes. Took it tothe Genius bar and they said the CPU was fryed. Thats right the IOS 17.1 distroyed my phone. Sure seems odd that the update came and my iphone 12 was distroyed. Guess i have to buy a iphone 15. Guess apple made the iphone 12 so good that they had to push the self destruct button and fry my phone.
