iOS 17.1.1 Issues on iPhone

My phones volume is ALL MESSED UP. Connected to Bluetooth in my car? can hardly hear, but all volumes are maxed.

connect to my AirPods? Music is fine, but all notifications of any kind are SO GD LOUD I can’t wear them.

volume is low, but 50% of the day my keyboard clicks were so loud I had to silence my phone. I didn’t even know that the clicks could be that loud! It was insane!

all my ringtones and alert sounds are changed/different - not a fan.

anyone else experiencing any of these issues?

I had NO issues with my iphone sounds prior to the iOS 17.1.1 update. The upgrade DID "alter the fundamental functionality of the device...there were [NO] underlying issues before this update."

Unfortunately, your response does not address the fact that my alert and notification tones are silent. The haptics work.

I figured it out. I was auto connected to a bluetooth speaker that was not being used. I turned the option on that speaker to "Not Connected." That solved the problem.

However, I had been connected to that speaker when it was not in use prior to this last upgrade and I had not experienced this issue.

Entirely killed my 12 promax.

I have a white screen now and the shutdown button is not working. I go on call tomorrow for all networking for a fortune 20 retail company tomorrow and my login functions like RSA are all through this phone. Knew I should have finished moving everything to the android I'm typing this on before this oncall... Sigh.

This is why I now have an android as backup now and not two iPhones. Not actually ready for enterprise use.

Getting with our MDM people and seeing if they have a fix. It's been sounding like there are a lot of issues with this update. Definitely the nail in the coffin for IOS phone being my primary work phone.

Yep, 3 iPhones (14, 14 pro x 2) and 2 iPads. I decided to upgrade to 17.1.1 on my pro 14 and iPad. Immediately upon restart both would not connect to Wi-Fi, both reported incorrect password and both refused to accept the right password each time. Used other iPad to search for help and simple fix was to to turn off private IP address, connect and then turn on private IP addressing again. Seems to have resolved the problem but not Apples finest moment. In fact it’s the first iOS update issue I’ve ever experienced.

Apple has messed around with what was already working perfectly fine. My iPhone 14 Pro will not charge correctly(tried 3 different cables and electrical outlets)and several setting were adjusted from how I had them set. Everything from alert tones to different texting options. I paid enough for this phone and pay plenty for service through Verizon. Fix this ridiculous garbage update 17.1.1!!!!!

We know what the update should do- but clearly from all the outrage, it isnt doing it. For me the update has screwed up many functions. My iPhone is having problems with everything- lots of glitches- won’t let me type text or whatsap without flicking to other screens, or keeps flashing between messages, freezes regularly. I have to switch it on snd off then it all starts again after a couple of hours. I think I’ll switch to Android. I’ve been an apple user for more than 20 years - since my university day, I have apple everything but now I’ve had enough

Since the update, I have had MAJOR problems with my phone that were not there before. Yesterday, it was extremely slow, and often when I clicked on an app or a link, I would get a totally white screen, and then it would close out and go back to the main screen. I was able to power down the phone and power it on again, and then it was better until this morning, when it was non-functional - could not open anything on the phone. Powered it off and on again, and then it worked great - until late afternoon, when it not only totally stopped functioning, but we could not even power it off! Tried calling both Apple and Verizon support from my husband's phone, but couldn't get anyone on the holiday. Eventually, my nephew was able to do a hard shut off (I had tried numerous times), and gain, it is working now. But clearly the update has impacted the functionality of my phone in a major way!!

After the ios 17.1.1 update, my phone is completely frozen. Neither the touchscreen nor the power button is working. It's an annoying situation! When I try to turn it off, it prompts me to make an emergency SOS call. Now, I'm waiting for the battery to drain. Given the decent battery life and my non-usage, it might take a couple of days. I've been using Apple for 6 years and have never faced such an issue before.

I have also problems, in my case with external storage, since the update to 17.1.1 my iPad freezes, 2 times completely, those times I have to drain the battery (I connected a ventilator to the usb) to get back in the OS, it even did not shut off?! Another problem is I often see no status info (battery indicator and clock etc) when I am using Firefox. That info is then not visible because the text is the same color as the window color. Very annoying. My system is also slower after the update.
