iOS 17.1.1 Issues on iPhone

My texts aren’t going through and Siri will no longer read entire text messages, she stops in mid-sentence? But all the things you’re experiencing I am too. It’s just horrible. I can’t send a photo with a text message. 🧐

I have an iPhone 11… and I don’t like how the update has caused problems with texti, how the screen works when you answer or make a call (WHO thought that it was a good idea to REVERSE the speaker and mute buttons???)…

I have an iPhone 12 and I had an issue with my update where mobile data has stopped working this seems to happen after every update and it is so frustrating. My laptop isn’t letting me restore my phone either

I upgraded my 12 pro yesterday and now it's dead and not accepting any charger. I'm sure they'd tell me it's just a coincidence and the port is damaged yet I had no issues before and while it was charging at the time I updated..

This is exactly why I came here- why did they do this? What is the point? Also why are there extra steps now when you want to send an audio message or gif - or anything not just the written word? Apple loves adding extra steps. It’s as if they think they have to do something or they won’t have a job. I just edited that sentence- when I tried to insert the cursor between words, it just highlighted one of the words. Infuriating! Apple, what have you done?

My iPhone settings have also changed after I upgraded to iOS17.1.1. I can no longer save new contacts just by going to "info" after someone calls me and I want to save their number. The option to "create a new contact or add to existing contact" is no longer available. This is quite frustrating. Also, the way contacts are displayed has also changed.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help here. I have tried checking and doing the steps as mentioned on the net but nothing has helped so far.

I also can’t get anything to work, the phone even updated last night when I was NOT plugged into power and had less power than normally required for an update. I went to bed thinking it won’t update because of this.

Find my doesn’t work at all - no devices visable , no people visable, other devices can no longer see my iphone

No applications work at all when the phone is locked, no notifications for any apps like above message, no play pause on music

No application that used to run in the background run in the back ground anymore.

It keeps telling me i have to signon for a bunch of settings attempts, but I am signed on, and/or there is no ability to just “signon” normally when it wants that the Password window pops up

The day my s/w updated, I now have an intermittent problem with texts going to my apple watch but not my phone. Unable to see any pics attached to a text when this happens. This has never happened to me before.

Using an iphone 11 or an ipad 8th gen. . .why change the size of the notification bubble? In this latest upgrade it was shrunk side to side and does not enhance functionality. How to get it back the way it was?

The latest upgrade messed with accessibility features. When bold is turned on, now it’s really, really bold— visible but not comfortable at all. How to revert to what it was?

Updated my iPad to 17.1.1 and none of my bluetooth devices will connect. Tried "Forgetting" each one, and turning bluetooth off and on, rebooting, etc. Nothing works and I have a show tonight that requires my Bluetooth to work.

I set up a passcode on the my wife's iPhone XR after the IOS 17 that I want to turn off since my wife doesn't want to use one. Her iPhone will currently not recognize her Apple ID. Her phone will not allow me to change it after going through all the screens to verify her identity. On the last step of entering a verification code it shows "An unknown error has occurred". She has reported to me that there have been several other minor issues. She wishes that she never updated her phone!! Luckily I have an older phone that has not indicated a need to update the IOS. Thank God!!! If this is the future of Apple updates. I'm going the Android.

This was not a helpful reply - an Apple Store employee says it’s an update problem and to wait for the next update to correct the previous one that landed problems on people’s iPhones. I came to this forum for more answers - not denial of the situation.

The comment above states that it shouldn’t have messed with our screens but it has. When I go to Text there’s a bloody plus sign. What happened to the **** icons. Now I have to hit the + and scroll. That’s not efficient use of time. An upgrade should be easier and not more cumbersome. I’m regretting my iPhone. I’m thinking about changing. Every time I turn around a setting is changing without me choosing the setting change.

So buggy! Worst upgrade yet. Wifi passwords reverted to old ones, can’t make or take calls, lags in calls connecting, messages lag for minutes, volume all over the place. Screen highlighting impossible now as once you touch the screen you can’t remove it unless delete word highlighted.

This is absolutely the worst Apple update in a long time. All of my apps lag, my phone freezes, I’m draining battery, my Bluetooth is whack, even the aesthetic things they changed are so awful and unnecessary, the changes didn’t add anything user friendly wise just simply messed things up to mess them up. I regret fully having my phone on auto-updates. My phone was perfect before This needs fixed asap
