Contact Photos disappeared after update 17.1.1

Presumably, an upgrade means giving one better service, maintaining the good aspects of the previous versions. And, the customer knows what is good for him, not Apple. Is there a way to roll back to the previous version? By the way, is it practical to re-learn everything from the ground up for each "update"? Ridiculous!

I’ve done as you have suggested but there is no up/down arrow to the right on my contacts. If I click on the contact photo photo & poster bar it takes me to a page showing the photo I already have for my contact with a sweep left option to create another but I do not want to change the contact photo/poster.

Apple really need to sort this issue out. It’s annoying when your busy to not be able to easily see who’s calling you, as whilst their name appears on screen, if it’s something not short like Mum etc, it moves across the screen from right to left, disappears then starts again. I mean, for a start we read left to right and it would be easier if Apple can’t give us an easy fix for this problem, they should at least make it so the callers name remains static on the screen.

I would never have updated if Apple had fully explained the implications of it.

I have had photos that I selected for certain loved ones attached to their profile so that is what I see when they call. Some of these are older pictures that are no longer saved on my iPhone and would be very difficult to try to find if I can even locate. I’m very upset. The pictures are now missing and it seems the system has taken upon itself to decide what will or will not show up under someone in my contact list. This is very invasive. I want to know how to restore those pictures. They have been on there for years until they were suddenly gone. Apple, seriously, where do you all get off deciding for me what shows up for my contacts??? The least you could’ve done is given me the option to say yes use this new picture/poster or no keep the old one. WTH?!

When I go to poster it comes up as a coloured screen. I can change colours and fonts but no where on the screen does it have an option to add a photo.

I tried using the PHOTO selection ... and found that any photo I pick will expand to the entire Contact page.

I agree.... doing it INDIVIDUALLY is nonsense!

I need to manually undo what Apple destroyed by automation? No, that is _not_ ok.

What has your answer to do with the fact that all my contacts custom photos have been reset?

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

It is the same complaint. After the recent update all of my contacts are gray and the pictures are missing Toomey it seems like you have taken away my color because I don’t want Apple Pay.

How can I fix this problem?
