In the list of Login Items a (to me) mysterious entry appears: com.service.8302.plist
It is from an unidentified developer and I wonder if any of you has come across this item before and what it is for. Should I disable it ?

I recommended that you delete com.service.8302.plist in my original reply, and I was under the impression that you deleted it. The answer is yes, you should delete it.
The free Malwarebytes may take care of it...
Sorry can't tell much from the screenshots.
MWB is different than most AV products, just run it to check, no need to install it to run in the background, which is why & where most AV Apps fail or foul things up.
Please restart your Mac in "Safe Mode" Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support. While in that mode, drag the following file to the Trash:
Then, restart your Mac normally (not "Safe Mode") and determine if the problem is resolved.
Thanks John. The file you are referring to is part of the NeatVideo noise reduction plugin for FCPX, so that is not a file I would want to delete. It is the plist item from the unknown developer, mentioned in my original list, I am slightly worried about.

Thanks again. Did you see anything in the screenshots indicating a potential problem? I’d rather stay away from any anti virus on Mac unless absolutely necessary
