iOS 17.1.1 Update & Storage Issues

I updated my iPhone 12 to iOS 17.1.1 yesterday and since then, my storage is absolute junk. I can’t take photos, can’t read emails, etc. I had quite a bit of my 128G storage left before the update and now it’s claiming I’m using over 126. When looking at the update and system data, it’s using almost 22G which is insane. I’ve had this phone for years and until this update, it was never a problem. I’m about done with apple altogether if they’re going to keep screwing people around just to force them to buy new/updated products.

Does anyone have any type of help or solution? Because currently my phone is an expensive paperweight because I’m not deleting stuff I’ve had for years just because Apple wants to throw a fit.

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Storge issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.
