my bank website will not load because my Google Chrome needs updating. When I try to update Google Chrome, it says that my OS is not up to date. When I look for updates it says there are no apps to update. I have a very old Mac running macOS Sierra 10.12.6
Can I update this Mac?

Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and then on the download link for a higher OS. A Mac running Sierra can be upgraded at least as far as High Sierra.
Catalina and above won't run 32-bit software; if you choose one of them, use Go64 as well.

FWIW, Google Chrome now requires macOS 10.15 or later.
