Purchased a 2017 macbook air recently. Upgraded to the latest mac os available. Everything works without any problems. Except for apple tv and apple music. Can't log in to my account in these apps.
I enter my username and password and nothing happens.
There are no error messages, nothing. Just nothing happens.

FWIW, you log in with your Apple ID and password, not your user name and password.
Based on your screen shot it doesn't look like you entered the correct Apple ID, because it's asking if you forgot it.
Please read my question more carefully. I enter the correct data and then nothing happens. Then the authorization window comes up again.
The only working solution so far has been to create a new user profile. But I don't want to do that.
I'm entering my apple id's information here. Is that right? And then nothing happens.
