How can I find a folder on my MacBook Pro?

I was trying to download a pdf document. I didn't take notice at first where it was being saved. I assumed it was being saved to the desktop. But it was saved to a folder called printing.595.18. I can't find that folder and I can't find the document I downloaded. I've tried every search term I can think of. Can you please tell me how to find this folder so can find my document. Can anyone help? Thank you very much.

Had a similar problem only my "printing" folder was numbered differently. I was able to find the folder by the following process. I saved a new pdf of the doc. Clicked the drop down tab to name and show save location. clicked the save location dropdown menu. Clicked "other..." at the bottom." brought up the show in finder option and it popped right up. probably not the best at describing my actions so here are a few pics to walk you through everything.

What happens when you search specifically for "printing.595.19" in Finder or Spotlight.

If using spotlight you may need to scroll down to see folder results. When you see then, you can hold down on the command key to see the path of a specific folder in the results.

When searching in Finder, make sure Your computer is selected in the locations section of the side bar so it searches in all folders on your Mac.

Doesn't seem to matter if I use spotlight or google I just get a list of businesses that do printing services. Oh well. I guess I'll have to be more careful when I download a PDF doc to make sure I put it in the correct folder. I suspect I will never find the PDF files I did download that went to the folder "printing.595.18". Thank you very much for your help. I appreciate it. Have a happy day.

I used 'command F' as well as spotlight to find it on my computer. I search "printing", "595.19", and "595" and "printing 595.19" both search ways. I never found it. I downloaded the document again only this time when I used 'command P' I specifically made sure it was downloaded to the desktop as a PDF file. I gave up trying to find the previous documents I tried to download. I suppose those files are now cluttering up my computer. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt me in the future. Now when I select print to save a document as a PDF file it now comes up to save the document as a PDF. If it happens again and I get a selection of where to save the file I will try "other" and go through the steps as you laid them out above. Thanks again for all your help. Have a glorious day.
