Clock timer no longer shows end time?
On iOS 17, the timer feature on Clock has changed. When you set a timer it no longer shows what time the timer will end only the countdown. Can we get it to display the end time like before?
iPhone 13, iOS 17

Do it turns out the end time function is still there but less obvious. Once you start a new timer and it shows time renaining, tap on that time remaining and it will show a circle countdown with the end time as before. Wish it wasn’t hard to find but at least it’s still there.

Totally correct. They removed this very basic and valuable useful functionality.
Their Product Owner should be held accountable. Good software enhancement and maintenance adds usability and enhances the user experience.
The removal of this feature failed the basic rules of good product development.
Maybe the person who removed the end time and is the same person who decided to use a font small you need an electron microscope to read the model and serial numbers on the back of the phone 🤷🏻♂️
totally unproductive. Please bring back the functionality that did not need to change. Why is Apple forcing 2 extra click when clock, functionality and timer was all in one single screen.
Thanks Red_Five. That helps a little but unfortunately it's not on the iphone Lock-screen.
Still don't see any valid use case for ruining excellent usability.
If you figure out how to make the microscopic font larger for the model information please let me know :rofl
Clearly someone under the age of 40 designed that landmark layout.
Yet another example of Apple making things harder to use in order to have “updates” to iOS.
This highlights exactly my concern. It shows you originally set the timer for 1 hr 2 mins NOT that the timer ends at (for example) 11:15 pm like it used to show.
Worst timer update ever
Yes, it’s pretty stupid to have the set time display twice then have to click on it to show the end time
Red_Five is correct. I haven’t updated to latest iOS and this is what it shows… the timer ending at 6:57 PM…
Why havent we heard from a Product Owner or Product Manager about this very poor design choice? Or also about the microscopic text for the model info on the back of the phone...
Come on Apple- you are sitting on 400830 gajillion dollars in cash and you can't get decent product designs?
SravanKrA’s yes we can all see that on our phones as well. What we were actually looking for was the end time which disappeared from the Lock Screen with the latest update.
By tapping on the new timer it does show up in a circle timer tho in a small font reading above the running timer.
See the pic below. It shows on my iPhone 12 Pro iOS 17.1.1. So this must be your device issue and not iOS 17.1.1
Thank you !
