Troubleshooting Location History:
A. Confirm your Configurations: Control the Location Information you share on iPhone - Apple Support
B. App Restrictions:
Allow this access for Google Maps and other apps: Control Access to Information in Apps on iPhone - Apple Support
C. Location Restrictions:
It's probably the location of the Apple Account your device is iPhone is assigned to. That may make the accssabitly of this feature not be an option to you.
D. Clear your Significant Locations:
There may be lost stored, and clearing Significant Locations may remove bugs such as construction updates. After a completed construction for an artery took place, I had to clear it, and it worked (a couple of years back):
- Go Here: Delete Significant Locations on iPhone - Apple Support
- As it reads: "This action clears all your significant locations everywhere you’re signed in with the same Apple ID."
