How to set alarm for more than 24 hours?

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the warning feature on your products. I've been an Apple user for three years and I've missed important appointments or overslept because of it.

Currently, Apple products only allow users to set alarms up to 24 hours in advance. This is a big inconvenience for people who have appointments or commitments that are further in the future. For example, if I make an appointment with my doctor for tomorrow at 11am, when now time is 8am. I can't set an alarm for that appointment until tomorrow morning. This has caused me to miss several appointments and oversleep on numerous occasions.

I've also tried using third-party alert apps, but I've found that they aren't always reliable. They may not work when my phone is on silent or may not be set correctly.

In addition to these problems, I've also found that the calendar and reminders apps on Apple devices aren't a satisfactory substitute for a real alarm. These apps simply send a notification that I can easily miss or ignore. I need an alarm that wakes me up even if my phone is on silent.

I just missed an important dental operation because my iPhone alarm could not be set more than 24 hours in advance. Does anyone know of an app that a 3rd party has created to substitute for the 24 hour Apple app?

Steve Jobs created the iPhone to supports needs we didn't know we had. Surely Apple could easily add a calendar to their 24-hour Alarm app. or loud alarms to their calendar.

Here's a workaround in iOS 16 and iOS 17 using the Clock app to set an alarm more than 24 hours, but 7 or fewer days in advance.

Set the alarm as a Repeating alarm.

Example: It's now Monday at 8 AM.

I want to set a one-time alarm for Tuesday at 11 am.

Open the Clock app.

Navigate to Alarms at the bottom of the app screen.

Select + to Add Alarm

Select 11:00 AM for the time.

Repeat is displayed as Never

Touch Never, and change it Repeat to Every Tuesday.

(You can also set a specific Alarm to repeat more than one day (up to 7 days) at the same time by tapping to checkmark each additional day of the week.)

If you only need it to occur once and don't want it to repeat every Tuesday at 11 AM, just delete it or edit the alarm entry.

Sometimes a cheap alarm clock, a calendar, a roommate, or a friend who will call to remind you, are better solutions to time management than a $1000 smartphone.

It is a good solution, but I am really angry with Apple. Because the reminder or calendar app is not as good as the alarm. Many times I have fallen asleep during doctor and dentist appointments or have not seen the reminder notification due to the high number of other notifications. It's really not difficult for Apple to add this option to set an alarm whenever(date) you need it. I feel that sometimes Apple is stubborn about small issues. Like the charging port of iPhones. With my iPhone and iPad Macbook, it's not good to stay asleep and miss important work appointments. Thanks for the solution.

Or maybe the highly touted $1,000 smartphone should be better engineered to handle a really simple and freakishly common need that nearly every single one of us needs at some point.

Yes, I feel the same way and I have the same issue, especially with the notifications and alerts that you can set in the calendar app I have never once noticed an audible alert or reminder for the entire existence of the iPhone and the ability to set an audible alert for hours or days a week in advance of the date! HOW IN 2024 a phone for +$2000 CANT SET A TIMER FOR ONLY 24 HOURS?? WHY NOT ALLOW US TO SET EACH INDIVIDUAL DIGIT RATHER THAN A COUNTERPRODUCTIVE ROTATING DIAL!!??
