friend clicked link in email that was obviously a paypall scam

he was connected to someone who started trying to mirror his ipad

he figured it out and immediately turned off that device, went to another device and changed password.

What else should he do

My younger brother got scammed and put a stranger’s Apple ID on his phone Brother put scammer’s ID on the phone and the scammer changed the Apple ID’s password and now demand money to give my brother the new password to change back to his own Apple ID. He can’t perform some basic tasks and his Apple Watch has also been shut down. We can provide pictures of evidence that he has been scammed. Could you please delete the hacker’s Apple ID from his phone. And maybe preferably block the hacker’s apple id alltogether to prevent the future unfortunate cases. I will attach all the screenshots below, but they are in Russian. [Edited by Moderator]

Here are the steps he should take:

Change all passwords
Enable 2FA on all accounts
Block the accounts
